With over thirty five years of building experience, twenty-four years as a contractor in the harsh maritime climate of Southeast Alaska, Jonathan Wolfson offers quality craftsmanship with concern and care for a successful building process.
Previous projects have ranged from building custom and timber framed homes, house remodels, additions, kitchens and baths, repairs, home energy efficient upgrades to restaurants, retail stores and government projects, including extensive remodeling of the Governor of Alaska Offices, the Juneau International Airport, schools, banks, a synagogue, and many Federal and State of Alaska office remodeling projects.
Respecting each client’s needs and considerations, Wolfson understands the responsibility of the general contractor to tailor each project to their needs. Whether the project demands are complex and detailed or has budget limitations, each project receives the same value of care, consideration and high quality craftsmanship. We have extensive experience in working with the client in either a design/build capacity or with a client and their architect/designer. Understanding finishing the project on time and within budget is something we are proud of.
Jonathan Wolfson General Contracting has built four homes that have met the extensive Alaska Energy Star ratings. We have designed and built homes and additions as well as custom cabinets, concrete countertops, tiling, and many fine woodworking projects.
My wife, Shar Smith and I moved to beautiful (mild) Orcas Island from Juneau, Alaska in 2009. Since then I have had the opportunity to build our own home and to begin my building business here on Orcas Island.
